"This is the sequel to The Hiding Place and does repeat some of the experiences told of in The Hiding Place. It also does not follow a chronological format of her missionary work after surviving a Nazi concentration camp, but rather it is a collection of experiences during her over 30 years as a missionary. It is a wonderful read with many golden nuggets to savor of her tramping the world for the Lord."
""Tramp for the Lord" picks up where "The Hiding Place" left off. Corrie Ten Boom's sister and father died in Nazi concentration camps, while Corrie survived, yet Corrie's Christian faith grew stronger than ever. This book tells the story of what happened to her next."
"Interesting expansion on what happened to Corrie Ten Boom after her ordeal she explains in the wonderful book The Hiding Place. There is more of her wit and humility, and those who loved the Hiding Place will find a lot to like here. It's not told with the same plot-thread-style, however; it's more episodic. For that reason, it is less compelling a read. It's something that can be picked up and put down, taken in doses to slowly absorb her wisdom. I enjoyed some vignettes more than others, and found some to be a little over the top preachy, but that's the case with most of this style books, so it's forgivable. Overall, it's something I'm quite glad my friend Deanna loaned me. Uplifting words for the soul."
