About this title: Stephanie Plum--the sexy, sassy, brassy, bounty-hunting Jersey girl--is back on the job in her third novel, and things just aren't going great. She's having a bad hair day--for the whole month of January. And she's been given the unpopular task of finding Mo Bedemier, Trenton's most popular citizen, who's gone no-show for his court appearance after being arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.

"Briefly: In this book, Stephanie Plum is on the case of the bail jumping, yet well loved Mo Bedeimer who runs the local ice cream shop. No one in the burg is happy with Stephanie for setting her sights on this latest task. With the help of Lula, the former prostitute, and Ranger, her co-fugitive apprehension agent, she learns of some strange goings-on with the beloved Mo. Joe Morelli, who now works homicide, is hiding things about this case from Stephanie that both enrages her but also confuses her because she feels Joe may no longer be feeling attracted to her.
This book wasn't as great as the first two books in that the plot was about as appealing as chicken flavored ice cream. Lula's character got annoying with her tough as shiznet attitude and mouth. Stephanie wavered a bit in her Jersey girl confidence but I must say, Joe Morelli is still the same hot assed, pizza supplying, Italian macho man.
"In this book, female-sleuth Stephanie Plum has been asked to find Moses Bedemier, AKA Uncle Mo. Uncle Mo is a fixture in the burg because he runs a popular candy store and has done so since 1958. And his store has never been closed, not even for one day.
Unfortunately Uncle Mo was busted by a rookie cop for speeding. Low and behold, the cop noticed Uncle Mo carrying a concealed weapon - a big no-no in Trenton, New Jersey. So bond was posted with the court but Uncle Mo failed to appear for his court date. Now Stephanie must try to find him.
This book is full of all the things we've come to expect from Stephanie: comic banter, attraction to Joe Morelli, help from Ranger, mayhem from sidekick Lula and crazy antics from Grandma Mazur. I liked this book and thought it was well written.
"Another great Stephanie Plum mystery! I am really enjoying her character! This installment had Stephanie dealing with a fugitive that everybody loved, many dead bodies, a blue pickup that just wouldn't run properly, and orange hair. Seems like a lot for a bounty hunter to handle but as usual, Stephanie manages to make it look like a walk in the park. As the series progresses she is getting more funny and more outrageous. I like that Lula, a former hooker, is now an "apprentice" bounty hunter to Stephanie. The two of them are quite the pair!"
"They get funnier and funnier. It's hilarious and adventurous at the same time while Stephanie embarks on her latest mission to capture another bail jumper; it turns out to be a lot more complicated, as usual. Joined by the usual cast of Lula, Ranger, and Morelli, Stephanie goes to kick some ass and tries to bring in Uncle Mo but instead uncovers a big mystery riddled with threats, danger and lots of clues. I miss reading about Grandma Mazur and her wild side. We finally meet her ex-husband Dickie Orr though. I enjoyed this novel and eagerly await Four to Score. 5/5 stars.
*WHO was Morelli talking to and smiling at over the phone when Stephanie went to spy on him??? Was he really seeing someone else?*"
