"This book was strikingly similar to the Power of One. The boy has no family name, is living in Indonesia (Java) under Dutch colonialism, like Peekay in Africa under the British empire at the end of the 1800's. He is one of the only natives that has been schooled in a European school and learns to speak for his people using this education. He does, in fact, become a "child of all nations," the title of the next book in the series which I have just begun. I am really fascinated by this series and am so excited to have randomly found it. The tetralogy was banned in Indonesia and the author was in prison for a very long time, and told these stories aloud for years until he was released and could write them all."
"Terus terang, saya menyesal baru membacanya sekarang.
