"I was pretty impressed with this cookbook. It has full-page glossy pictures (always a plus for a cookbook, but especially when it's such a visually-oriented food), some relevant historical information, and instructions to make more types of rolls than I knew existed. I'm planning to use the recipes more as starting points, since they're for rolls that are classy, and I have a decidedly Midwestern sushi palate (alas, no fake krab in this cookbook) but I'll definitely be following the rice and maki-rolling advice."
