"Mistry is a great author. You MUST read his "A Fine Balance". As for 'Journey' this was a good book. Mistry makes India come alive in your imagination. You can smell, hear and see each scene he sets. His books are are a bit depression on a whole but what good novel isn't?"
"Good character development. I have learned more of Indian culture and religion through the author's writings. The book is far better than the (dull) movie."
"I absolutely loved this book. I enjoy of of Mistry's books, but I especially enjoyed this. It gave me a better understanding of India and Pakistan and Bangladesh. It also helped to clarify the mix of cultures and religions that is found in this region. These insights were perks that were gained while reading a wonderful story. Mistry always keeps my interest, and I always am sad when I finish one of his books."
