"fantastic. lispector is an amazing writer. writing about writing/ creation and da sein. kind of intense. you really need to be interested and invest yourself in reading this or you probably won't like it and it will just sound like rambling. this probably sums it up well (as much as analogies can)...

heidegger : stream of life

kierkegaard : hunger"

"This book was kind of peculiar, and a bit of a revelation. On one hand it is the adverse of any standard narrative. It could maybe be considered stream-of-consciousness, but even that description doesn't seem to suit this text, because it seems more concerned with the spiritual than the psychological. It isn't even that experimental or abstract; experiential is a better way of describing it. Lispector's Stream of Life is to be experienced as one would experience meditation or a religious service. I read the book straight through, in two sittings, without too much contemplation. The narrator even asks this of the reader, to not take the text in for it detail, but to view it as an arial seen from up above, in the air. It is like a great hymn to life that the narrator is allowing to flow through her unadulterated, like some impulsive, improvised song. Vivid and beautiful. Lispector has a way of conjuring vast moods and emotions in the reader by using simple phrases. Trance inducing. Bewitching."
