"I couldn't remember what this book was about but I vaguely remembered it from when I was a kid. So we checked it out from the library for our son. It's a good book about a runaway duck. I wish I knew what made this book stand out in my memory...after I read it to Lars, I couldn't really say why but for some reason it's special to me."
"I liked when Ping ate the rice cake. I loved this book because Ping has a very, very large family. Ping gets lost because he was diving for fish when everyone else heard the call for the boat. Ping didn't want to be last because he didn't want to be spanked. I think being without my family would be worse than being spanked."
"It was a really good book. I know you've probably read it already but I'll just tell you what it is about if you haven't read it. This duck named Ping lives on a boat with his family and a boy. One day While Ping was outside on land exploring the left without him. So he is swimming and then he gets lost in this pier. So then this boy caputers Ping by luring him with rice. Then he escapes to find his boat waiting at the dock with all his brothers and sisters an cousins and moms and dads and grandparents. Then he gets back on the boat and then the book is basicilly over."
"My dad loved this book. It was a childhood favorite of his. But when I read it (as a child) I was horrified by the loss and misery that this duck went through.
