"This was a cute Chick Lit book. I liked it a lot and think anyone who is looking for a light quick read and likes chick lit should check this book out."
"I'm surprised about the high rating on this book. From the start, I wanted to grab the main character and give her a shake. Markham breaks one of the cardinal rules for chick-lit: If you introduce a current or former flame, upon who the main character is still hung up, give us a reason to like him, to see why she was with him in the first place. Will, the current boyfriend to Tracey, is not likeable. In fact, Tracey isn't likeable. She is obsessed with self-improvement, but c'mon, we're supposed to believe that she manages to lose 50 pounds over the course of the summer without even a slip up? That she goes from eating everything in sight to a diet of 1000 calories, with no fat to speak of? And that she 'walks everywhere in New York' on said diet?
The ending of this book was all that saved it from a single star review. The end didn't tie up all the loose pieces. It wasn't a fairy tale. And I appreciated that, after all the other fantasies that we were forced to swallow."
"Realistic story of a girl coming to terms with the sad realization that her relationship of three years just isn't working. The main character was really someone I could relate to. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series."
