"An interesting historical book. The first half looks at an account of a man who was at the Boston Tea Party and lived into his 90's. He was made a hero because he lived so long and took part in such an historical event. The latter half is quite boring unless you are a fan of historical analysis."
"Fasinating look at the American Revolution through the eyes of a very ordinary man, a failed businessman whose main claim to fame was his longevity; as a near-centenarian, he recorded not one but two memoirs of his involvement with the Boston Tea Party and other Revolutionary activities. I wish I could write history like Al Young: informed by academe but lively and interesting for the average reader."
