"According to Goodreads, this is Vince Flynn's 3rd Mitch Rapp novel and I really loathe to start something after the beginning. However, my local library doesn't have a copy of the first two Rapp novels so I'll just have to deal with it, right?
Anyway, I'm not very good about reviews but I'll throw out my brief two cents. I liked the novel. I liked the pace of the novel. I like the themes that the novel tackles. I fear that I had already tired of the characters before I even finished the novel. I don't know how that bodes for picking up another Flynn novel, but I will give it a try because it's not unlike watching some campy television show. And for better or worse, I like those (even though I haven't seen one in over a year).
The conclusion of this story was not to my satisfaction. That's all I'll say about that."
"Another of the great Mitch Rapp line from Vince Flynn. This is one of my favorite Rapp books although my favorite Flynn book may be Term Limits. This is before Flynn seemed to fall into a malaise in the 8-10th books, but has recently picked it back up with Extreme Measures and I'm looking forward to Point of Honor."
"My husband and I are quickly becoming fans of Vince Flynn. These books are great thrillers. They are very entertaining and move fast -- not the kind of book that stays with you."
"Outstanding; Continuing character: Mitch Rapp; while trying to decide between his covert career and marrying his reporter girlfriend, Rapp is called upon to steal nukes from Iraq, while a senator plots to damage the president's reputation so he can run instead."
