About this title: Billionaire Trevor Stone is dying, and his grief-stricken daughter has been missing for three weeks. Stone hires detectives Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro to track her down. But as they search, Patrick and Angie dig up cult members, millions of dollars of stolen funds, and a huge quantity of heroin. What does all this have to do with Stone's daughter? Plenty. And Patrick and Angie are in so deep that they're not sure they'll get out with their lives.

Kenzie & Gennaro Detective Series; Mass Market PB; 1.18 x 6.77 x 4.17; 400 pages; Dennis Lehane, author of Mystic River, is a gifted mystery writer. The locale for the Kenzie and Gennaro mystery series is blue collar Boston suburbia and here, Lehane brings us to the neighborhood of the lives of the working class as if we were there. In this third book of the series, Kenzie and Gennaro are hired by a billionnaire to find his ... read more
"I enjoyed reading this book. It is by the same author who wrote "Gone Baby, Gone". There is alot of good humor, but because I hadnt read the first books of the series there are alot of references to past events that I did not get. Also, the descriptions of the characters are basically nonexistent here. Overall it's a good read!"
"Outstanding; Continuing characters: Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro; two PIs attempt to figure out good guys from bad when a dying father sends them to find his daughter; lots of twists and good characters."
"Looking at the other reviews and ratings, a lot of folks like this writer and his characters. For me, it's Raymond Chandler without the class, Mickey Spillane manque. The story could be a send-up of an entire genre of detective fiction, but it has none of the finesse that, say, Michael Gruber has. I give it two stars because it was really OK; I did not dislike it enogh to give it one star."
