"This is the same comment for all the Dirk Pitt books: Great set of books, I had to stagger these books into my reading rotation since they are so similar. Dirk Series Book in less then 50 words. (introduction to bad guy, introduction to hot chick, introduction to Dirk, Dirk gets in impossible dangerous situations to stop the bad guy, Dirk wins, Dirk gets the hot chick.)"
"I always enjoy these books, but this is one I've been waiting to read for a while now. In this one, Dirk Pitt is a bit darker than he is in the other books I've read so far; and not an unpleasant experience by far."
"Wow! Book #3 of the Cusslers for me and this one did not disappoint. Very enjoyable, the book itself was written I think 7 years before the Titanic was even discovered. Without giving much away it's a little battle between the Americans and Russians over a special interest in the Titanic. Overall a great staple in the Cussler franchise of books. I most definitely recommend you read it."
"Obviously we know a lot more now about the sinking of the Titanic which makes the actual story of this book simply good fiction with not as much factual basis. Setting that aside, this becomes a very interesting adventure story about what could have happened had it been possible to really raise the luxury liner. A very good read!"
