"Marlow is a private detective who must find who stole money for a "business man". He becomes so tied up in his work that he forgets about his wife.
When Marlow found that he was working too much and that someone was not getting the best of that he did not know how to change. Last year when I was doing a report on something I could not remember what I forgot to play with my brother but when I finally noticed I could not stop working.
I gave this book 3 stars because I thought that it was good but not of the hook."
"Chandler wrote 4 chapters, Parker wrote41-4 i liked the period piece. funny to refer to palm springs as poodle springs. i recommend book to both chandler fans and to parker fans. philip marlowes love life and biz life and how he responds to the super wealthy.... good reading."
"Personally I think you can tell where Parker picks up the story, but he's a good match for Chandler's style and sensibility -- and this is a pretty decent meld. And probably the most seamless finishing up of a half-started work that I've seen."
