"In a typically far-reaching way, Heidegger hopes to re-describe the world as heading toward the care of Being, or the place where the gods might re-enter the four fold: earth, sky, man, and divinity."
"These essays were a joy to read, quite simply. H has a philisophical style the layers logic in an decidedly poetic way and for this reason mainly, you'll want to take your time. That, unless you have a very solid recollection of western philology spanning 40 years in either direction from 1900, and the time you'll need to make sidetrips to an encyclopedia (otherwise I can imagine you'd miss quite a bit -- even with my sidetrips I surely missed - who knows what). It's a boon for fans of Rilke and Nietzsche in particular. Put this in the category of "you get what you put in" -- but it's more of an alchemy than just that; lead into gold."
