"Hieronymus Bosch was an artist who did some truely surreal art. Some think that he was schizophrenic or had another form of mental illness and painted what he saw in his dreams. Anyway this book is a picture book telling the (fictional) story of his housekeeper who becomes fed up with the strange and surreal creatures infesting his house. She says: . "I'm giving my notice, I've had quite enough of your three legged thistles asleep in my wash; of scrubbing the millstone you use for a dish, and riding to market on a pickle-winged fish." "Pish posh" said Hieronymus Bosch . (The above is quoted from memory, it might be a bit off.) It is a simple children's story but there are some depths to it. The art is great fun."
