"This is a great book for moms to read with their girls. It does have graphics girls & a few boys. I just skipped what I thought was over their heads for now."
"The title says it all. This book provides information on everything about periods, from preparing to the effects. It goes through the whole menstruating process, developments, pads versus tampons, hormones, and puberty in general. It answers any questions girls might have out periods and puberty, encouraging them to also talk to someone about it.
My other book, The Cares and Keeping of You, was more generalized and didn't focus so much on periods, so this book took care of that in specifics. It is detailed and credible with illustrations and figurative language that makes it more understandable and relatable. I know more about it now."
"I purchased this book for my 9 year old daughter who is eager to learn about her changing body. This an excellent book. Although my daughter is quite precocious, some of the content seemed a bit to mature for her. It still is a wondeful, informative book, but keep in mind there may be touchy areas depending on your level of comfort. You may decide to read it fully ( not just skim through) to decide which areas if any might need to wait."
