"Buellton, California is home to a legendary rest-stop and resturaunt- Pea Soup Anderson's. Having been there myself more than a few times growing up and visiting Solvang as well, I was thrilled to find this book of Anderson's history, and all the best-loved (and some forgotten by time) recipies. The world-famous split-pea soup recipie is there, along with a few "twists" on it. The favorite meals that the origional owners (the Andersons) brought over from Europe (France and Denmark respectfully) are included as well. Want ideas for a Danish Smorrebrod? Plenty of imaginative and delicious ideas are here. This part California history and cookbook is a joy to read, and even more fun to cook from. I'm hap-pea I have this book in my collection! (bad puns withstanding)"
