"Copying clothing as explained in this book is not difficult. To do this successfully, however, it is necessary to know what a similar pattern looks like. For example, a collar band is slightly curved. To get the right curve paying close attention to the grain line is essential. Ditto with getting a skirt or pants to hang right, etc. etc. An exact grain line is not always easy to find plus a garment that has been worn may have stretched in some places. If I were going to do this, I would buy a similar pattern and work with both the garment and pattern. I thnk this will help to keep that all-important grain line. Have fun!"
