"i kept thinking this would be a good book to teach. first, hello dialogue. and then timeline slash "chapter" design. but mostly, i'd like to discuss with other people whether the characters are worth caring about.
i feel like cute is a good word for this book. and sometimes maybe things can just be cute. so long as they don't think they're cute.
class, does the book think it's cute?
***
i kinda wanted to give it 3.5 stars, but darn goodreads gives you all or nothing. so i went all because cindy really likes it and i really like cindy.
and it is cute.
ADDENDUM: OR i wonder if wes anderson made this into a movie and if bill murray played cleveland, if i'd love it then. angelica huston as virginia. i bet i would. and if there was good music behind it. oh! wes, if you're reading this, it'll be better than dejarling limited. hop to it."
