"I am about 2/3rds through this text. It is very good for a broad overview of an incredibly long and diverse region's history. There are a few inaccuracies and a few points where the authors do not go into depth on an issue that is of great importance to many people, as pointed out by my history instructor and my own general knowledge, but that is to be expected in any text written by a human (personal viewpoints always work their way in).
