"This is a decent anthology of world myths. The myths are broken up to illustrate the different phases of the hero's journey. Mythology: Voyage of the Hero is light on theory and heavy on examples. It might be helpful to read Joseph Campbell's Hero With a Thousand Faces before reading this one. This book can be seen as a supplement to Hero With a Thousand Faces. The book is littered with typos which detracts from the authority of the author and from the reading experience, but it is a valuable book nonetheless."
