About this title: Jeeves -- my man, you know -- is really a most extraordinary chap. So capable. Honestly, I shouldn't know what to do without him. On broader lines he's like those chappies who sit peering sadly over the marble battlements at the Pennsylvania Station in the place marked "Inquiries." You know the Johnnies I mean. You go up to them and say: "When's the next train for Melonsquashville, Tennessee?" and they reply, without stopping to think, "Two-forty-three, track ten, change at San Francisco." And they're right every time. Well, Jeeves gives you just the same impression of omniscience. . . . In ...

"Project Gutenberg is my fave place for OOP and public domain books. I adore Wodehouse, and who can forget our beloved gentleman's personal gentleman, Jeeves, who ever comes to the rescue when the hapless Bertie Wooster falls into trouble. Pithy buffoonery, moronic misunderstandings, gaffes, and aristocratic slapstick.
It reads considerably more satirically now than it probably did in the heydays of 1919...but it hasn't lost a bit of its humor."
"As someone who saw the TV show before reading the books, I find the differences interesting. Here Wooster knows that Jeeves is the smart one of the pair, while in the TV show, Bertie thinks he can solves problems, and digs himself deeper into the original problem before being rescued.
"I'm completely in love with the writing style and humor of P.G. Wodehouse and I'm convinced that I need a Jeeves to sort out this unholy mess of a life that I'm living."
"I had always heard that P.G. Wodehouse was funny and he really is. It helps that Hugh Laurie played Bertie Wooster in the TV series so I could picture him the whole time. This book was free on the Gutenberg project website. Which I'm reading here at work. Cause I'm so stinking bored."
