About this title: The third in the popular series charting the adventures of Amelia Peabody, this novel follows the Victorian lady sleuth to the "pyramids" of Mazghunah. On her arrival, it seems that the barren area can be of no interest, but a murder in Cairo soon persuades her otherwise.

"I've read all the Amelia Peabody books by Elizabeth Peters. She does an excellant job of transporting the reader into the past when Egypt was thhe play ground of the wealthy adventurer. The characters are so dynamic and enjoyable to read. I recommend them to anyone who wants to escape into a good mystery."
"I listened to this and again enjoyed the style the author uses to have the main character speak to the readers at times. I also enjoy Amelia's spunk. I think it would have been more enjoyable if I'd read it instead of listening to it. The whole time I thought the cat's name was a swear word, but my sister enlightened me (which made me feel silly, but the person reading the story had an accent that really made the name sound different)."
