"I've been surprised at how good this book has been as a supplemental resource for activities and crafts to help us learn about the early Native-Americans. I'm sure the ideas and content are simplified, but that also makes it easy enough to read and navigate that my almost 6-year-old has gone through it on her own to pick out things that interest her. So far we've made tepees, pueblo houses, vests, peace pipes, a couple of games, and fry bread."
"We used this for homeschool while studying Native Americans, and all 3 of my sons enjoyed it. This book has a large variety of crafts & activities that can be tailored to a range of ages (everything from masks to warbonnets, as well as games and recipes). Most can be made with materials you already have around the house. Each is accompanied by a brief description as to how it pertains to Native Americans - short enough to read easily, yet interesting and educational. Great for rainy days!!"
