Lobel, Arnold. Fair to Good. No Jacket. Miss Suzy by Miriam Young, pictures by Arnold Lobel, published by Parents Magazine Press copyright 1964. Hardback child's story/picture book with pictorial cover has a name written on free front endpaper, shows some rubbing of corners & ends of spine with board exposed at upper corners, has some evidence of gluing at inside hinges and a few pages show "creative decoration" by a child-overall basically good. No dust jacket. Children fiction squirrel squirrels.
Arnold Lobel. Fair + Ex-School Classroom Corners bumped and rubbed, small chip from the paper covering of the back spine tip, light edgwear, pocket on the inside endpaper, otherwise good. Inside is very good with the exception of the pocket on the front endpaper. Charming tale of a gray squirrel who is ran out of her home, befriended by tin soldiers who help her take back her home from the invading rats.
Lobel, Miriam. Good. No Jacket. 4to-over 9¾"-12" tall. Illustrated HB boards. Corners bumped and rubbed. NOT an ex-lib. Text near fine with one light fingerprint on one margin. 40 pgs. Miss Suzy is a little gray squirrel who lives happily in her oak-tree home until she is chased away by some mean red squirrels. Poor Miss Suzy is very sad. But soon she finds a beautiful dollhouse and meets a band of brave toy soldiers. How Miss Suzy and the soldiers help each other makes a gentle, old-fashioned tale that will capture the imagination of girls and boys alike.
Fair. Good copy for reading, may have heavy page wear with writing textual notes highlighting or be an heavily used ex library copy with library markings, stickers or stamps. Dust jacket or accessories may not be included.
I remember the book mobile would come around our neighborhood, and this was the only book I would check out. After about the fourth time, the librarian gave it to me, saying that I was the only one that ever read it. It became lost during many moves, and I have ordered it for the first grandchild, and will get another one for the second!

I originally purchased this book 40 years ago. I have read it to my children, granchildren and great grandchildren. I still have my original book. I bought this one for a baby shower gift.

This is one of my favorite books from childhood. My sister and I requested it to be read aloud quite often at bedtime. Our copy is in quite poor condition now, since it is was so well-loved. A must for any little girl :)
