"Only read it if you have a special interest in the gothic genre; otherwise (despite the story's intriguing premise) I'm afraid you'll find it rather dull."
"I have just finished this for university in September and it is long winded and hard to follow in parts but my it is gripping and can be quite scary even when reading during the day. A tale of a faustian protagonist who is on a mission to corrupt a innocent human being in order to reverse his deal of immortality and after life in hell with the devil. I really enjoyed it and it did take longer to read than it normally takes me to read a book but it takes a while to get into it. The best thing about this book is that it is important to do some bacjground research when reading in order to understant all the references and therefore you can learn so much more."
