"I think Julia Child is hilarious and very informative. I learned how to make the perfect omelette and taught my Foods class. After 50 or so omelettes in 3 hours, I would say I'm now an expert. The book is a bit old fashioned and I wish there were some nice pictures rather than sketches."

"This is a monster of a cookbook. The Collegiant textbook of cooking! The directions truely are step-by-step with a lot of illustrations. If I have 1 criticism it is that there is perhaps too much information. For example the recipe for a loaf of French Bread is 22 pages long!"
