"These books are great for a number of reasons, none of which have been replicated by the numerous authors who have written copy-cat books in recent years. The strongest recurring themes are that to be successful you must 1) find the approach that resonates the most with your personal strengths and talents, 2) work, work, work, work, work, and 3) manage your risks. These are true in any field of endeavor. The interviews are great because Schwager interacts with the interviewees without competing with them for ink. The result is that he helps to draw them out and encourage them to elaborate on the unique points each has to make."
"This is a good read to get a view into the world of some of the best traders around. The book is showing it's age a little these days seeing as the interviews were conducted in the late 80's around the time of te '87 crash, but the real wisdom to be gained from the interviews still hold true.
Worth a read if you're a trader as you'll probably find yourself reflecting on your own behaviours and views as you read what some of the best in the business have to say."
