"This novel by Walter Dean Myers, is of an autobiography of MAlcolm Litles littes, or better known as Malcolm X. Tis novel depicts how Malcolm lost his father to racism, and his mother to insanity, how he became a gangster, later wnet to jail joined the Nation of Islam, second o the Honorable Elijah Muhammed, and started his seperated from the nation of Islam. In his many attempts for equality and justice, Malcolm experienced injustice and racism and drug-abuse. Howerver, after, making a pilgrimage to Mecca he began his own nation of Muslamic beliefs, under the knowledge of tre Islamic beliefs, called Muslimm Inc..Futhermore, he died after a conspiracy by the CIa and Elijah Mohammed."
"Do you think that if a person is racist towards you then they represent their entire race as being racist? In this book a very famous civil rights leader thinks exactly that. I liked this book because Walter Dean Myers gives facts about Malcolm X but also gives his own personal opinion. I think if someone is racist then thats just them not their entire race because i have friends that are all different races and they have no problem hanging with me. And i know that there are people who are the same race as my friends and are racist. When Malcolm X made the holy pilgrimage to Mecca he went there hating whites but came to find out there are whites who are muslim and arent racist. I give this book a 10/10 and recommend to anyone who loves reading about civil rights or about famous African-American leaders."
