"As an exhibition catalogue, if you enjoyed his explorations/interpretations of "non-pedigreed" buildings and settlements, you have to read his subsequent Prodigious Builders. The latter is a much more comprehensive study of the examples that made up his MoMA show (plus more). Then, if you enjoy his common sense yet slightly off-kilter approach to all of this, you must move on to his other books about domesticity and fashion. Sort of logical, sort of bizarre!"
