"I learned a lot of new things that may help with my photography. There was a lot of information though so will have to reread parts as I apply the techniques but definitely worth reading."
"Photography is the art of capturing light, so a book on how to apply light is vital to a working knowledge of photography. This one provides terrific insight into how photographic lighting works, including ample example pictures and diagrams of how lighting setups affect the picture.
The reason I don't give it five stars is that well over half the time a diagram is a page turn away from the reference to it in the text. For a reference book it is extremely bothersome to have to continuously flip pages to compare the description of a setup with the picture or diagram of it. The actual content of the book is exceptionally well presented, detailed, and easily understood even by someone with virtually no knowledge of the terms conventionally used in photography."
"Take a look at the sections on lighting metallic and glass objects and you'll see why this book is such a classic! The section on using guide numbers to calculate exposures for strobe lights is also fantastic!"
