Fabulous for Medical history buffsChevalier Jackson is the father of laryngoscopy and esophagoscopy, so this is required reading for those who fancy themselves airway management groupies.
But in addition to that, this is a fascinating depiction of the life of a physician in the late 1800's. Jackson lead an remarkable life prior to becoming a famous healer, and there are many lessons to be learned from his trials and tribulations.
The book is an easy read and I recommend it highly to paramedics, nurses, and young physicians.
