"I picked up this book for a dime at a garage sale. My 23-month old son will sit and listen to me read it three times in a row if I keep reading. I get sick of it LONG before he does.
The pictures kind of remind me of Eric Carle's style, but slightly more realistic. Lots of cute details in the illustrations.
I like the connections of the cycle of the year among the kids, the birds, and the tree. They make the whole story very... organic and satisfying on a strange level.
What's more, the book has an apple pie recipe in it! What else can you ask for? :)"
