"If any reader needs read some junk books once a while, this one would be a very good one. I finished up it during the veterans' day holiday, a real page turner, with its own charm and flaws.
As always for good guys bad guys scene, the bad guys always talk too much, always trying to kill the good guys with too many tricks (whereas they killed the victims easily, quickly and beautifully), and last always was killed by the good guy.
One thing makes this book a little different is its woman character, who is just too tough to be real. I can hardly believe that she was tortured by the bad guys twice, but still survived. What a miracle!
What really surprised me is at the end when the real bad guy was recovered, who is someone I didn't suspect or think of totally. I don't think it's because I'm not that smart, but only because the author didn't give a clue at all. I'm only following what the author wants the readers to know.
One last lesson is that I'm glad that I'm not intelligent, nor beautiful, therefore won't be subject to next victim on the list.
""Kiss the Girls" was one of the best books I have read!
Detective Alex Cross is searching for his missing neice, Naomi, who has been kidnapped by a killer known as Casanova. Cross enlists the help of one of Casanova's only known living victims, a medical intern named Kate, who escaped and the killer is now hunting.
The plot in this book was fantastic, not to mention the mystery, suspense, and the characters themselves. A must read for all James Patterson fans, and fans of mystery, intrigue, and great storytelling!"
"Seriously, I am the only person who does NOT like Patterson's writing. His writing is so simplistic and dull. What's with the italics on random words? I'm sorry, but I find Alex Cross to be a very unbelievable hero. He has no faults, is highly intelligent and handsome and horrible things always happen to him. Possible, yes. Believable, no!
Kiss the Girls is an ok book, but overall I didn't enjoy it. I find Patterson's writing style to be very dry and boring. They did turn this into a good movie, though. So skip the book and rent the movie. It is a much more satisfying experience."
