"This series has really caught my attention and I have been able to track down the old video tapes of the mini series. This is my favorite of the series so far. Lots of interaction between the characters and a move toward the interaction of the next generation of the family. I was surprised at what happens when one of the major characters looks for a solution to a problem that has been ongoing throughout much of the series."
"Ok, so I love the Poldark Saga. It's silly and bordering on trashy, but it's good historical fiction I think. And I was raised on Master Piece Theater, which is pretty much what this is, only in book form. Period romance. I love it. This book cleverly begins about ten years after the previous book ended, and starts new love stories with the Poldark children - now the age that Demelza and Ross were when the first Poldark novel began. This was a good choice, because after eight books, Demelza and Ross were getting a bit too old to be romantic adventurers. I liked this book. The new characters are compelling, and the old ones well developed. Graham really is a good writer and he obviously has a relationship with these characters in his mind that allows him to paint them in a way that is dynamic, compelling and true to the life and times they lived in."
