About this title: This is a rating scale designed mainly for completion by the reception teacher in the first half-term of school entry. It provides a standardized screening procedure to identify and monitor those children at risk of having, or developing, special educational needs, as well as a `numerical' baseline which can be used for all children in evaluating their subsequent progress.
