"I love Nina Simone! She is my favorite artist, yet as an autobiography "I Put a Spell on You" was OK. If you want a detailed account of her life and insight as to how she saw and related to the world, go for it. Don't expect a great read..."
"This was a very insightful look at the protest jazz singer. I knew that she had had a tough life, she is often compared to Lady. However, most of her troubles were IRS related as well as the Race Movement in America of the 60's. I really didn't realize that most of her recording took place over about a decade and a half. Very insightful."
