"I love this book and it is a new Christmas tradition to read it with my almost grown daughter on Christmas Eve. I love the book more than the cartoon. It has a beautiful message and brings tears to my eyes. When my daughter was little and the advertising for the cartoon would come on, she would say, "Mommy, I am afraid of the green little grinch". That memory makes the story even more special to me."
"If you're going to watch a movie based on this book, I would highly recommend the old cartoon version as opposed to the new live action version (with Jim Carrey). The newer version changes a lot about the book, which I think detracts from the simple message that the book conveys."
