"I do like this series- plenty of romance, a luscious Highlands settling and men worthy of a fantasy or three. Though the books do have many similarities, I like the slightly different fantasy elements she puts in each book- fairies, time travel, Templars, portals, Beserkers and more. The second book in the series is my favorite so far. This book was rather fun, except I felt that the ending was kind of a mess. It sounds kind of odd to say, but everything was resolved too well, too perfectly. In the last ten or so pages it went from a potentially happy ending, to a ridiculously idyllic ending. Maybe I'm nitpicking, but there it is. I still liked the book mind you, just not as much as the first and definitely not as much as the second."

"In this book we meet Lisa Stone from the 20th century and her tale takes her back in time to meet "SIN" himself, otherwise known as Circenn Brodie the laird of the castle. When I say she drops right into his world, I'm not kidding. Lisa is a strong, fierce and defiant lass, which eventually makes Cin want her even more. This story tuched my heart, Cin is a rare gem in the way he woos and cares for Lisa. And of course their was even a few moments that made me laugh out loud.
So far this is book 3 of the series and my favorite so far. The love scenes are magnificent, thank you Ms. Moning. But most of all you fall in love with the thought of REAL, true, passionate love. Cin would truly bend heaven and earth for the one he loves.
