"Cixous did some excellent work in poststructural feminism. Some of her ideas, especially le ecriture feminine, have been subject to much-needed criticism. My main problem with Cixous is not her inaccessibility, but her pretentiousness. Her work is way too Eurocentric and essentialist, but also intelligent and sometimes cathartic."
