"The Harry Potter series of books are probably the best books I've ever read... and I've read a ton of books. I love them all! If you're 40 and you haven't read these because you think they're children's books - think again!!! These are a must read!! I've read several more than once!"
"Next to the Deathly Hallows, this was definitely my favorite in the series.
I was just rereading it for the first time since the Deathly Hallows came out, and I stumbled accross something Lupin mentioned that I never pondered before.
"Severus was very interested in where I went every month." Lupin told Harry, Ron, and Hermione. "We were in the same year, you know, and we --er-- didn't like each other very much. He especially disliked James. Jealous, I think, of James's talent on the Quidditch field..."
When I read that, I burst into tears. Those of you who have read the Deathly Hallows will understand that Snape was not jealous of James's Quidditch playing. For those of you who haven't read Deathly Hallows, I won't give it away.
I've always thought that detail of Snape's history (as found out in the Deathly Hallows) was very very touching and original and totally explained all of Snape's hatred for Harry and his will to protect Harry.
Once again, I am amazed at how far J.K. Rowling planned ahead in her writings."
