"The techniques and advice are very usetul but most of the illustration are a bit dated. To give credit she is trying to address a wide range of tastes. I'm not that generous and my tastes are a bit narrower so it's not really a fault. I wish there had been more information on sagger and smoke firing of decorative tiles but it a book this size some things have to give and it seem that those techniques are the same no matter what shape is being fired. By and large if you heed her advise (like PATIENCE the drying time can't be hurried. patience is not one of my virtues) you will avoid all the inobvious but fatal errors that I encountered first time around and produce the kind of personalized product that you can't find commercially for that unique result."
