This copy was purchased directly from his wife, also an educator. 1979 Prog Baptist light blue cloth hardcover. Fine minus to Fine with no wear, a tight binding & no markings other than Rev Jones'. In a Very Good dj w/ slight edgewear, including 2 small closed tears now preserved in a mylar cover. "The Rev. William A. Jones, 71, a powerful preacher, a civil rights activist and pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY, for more than four decades...at 6 feet 5 inches and 265 pounds and blessed with a sonorous baritone voice...had a commanding presence in the pulpit (a voice) both prophetic and eloquent (WA Post obit 2/8/06)".
