"When I first read the play, it was very hard to understand what was happening. All I could comprehend was the gratuitous cursing and that it had something to do with real estate. After my class talked about it and I saw part of a movie version, I could better appreciate how hard it is to be a salesman. If you've ever read death of a salesman, this is a good play to compare it against. I remember re-reading it, because I think I ended up writing a paper on it."
"I can't imagine a time when this play will become irrelevant. So long as desperate people clash in a frantic grab for clients and payoffs, this play will have a place. The real estate market is just set dressing for the gripping human drama Mamet executes. Now that I've worked for a private company, and seen how intense competition gets, I have both admiration and distrust for people who are players in business.
This is a fast-paced, edgy play. It's a masterwork of modern drama, being both thoughtful and concise. It's great to read or see, and the film adaptation is solid as well. Check it out, I say."
"hilarious; sooo many swear words. :) Although a bit hard to understand since there are so many "..." (and they leave words out sometimes). But yeah.."
