"I know, Martha's pretty scary, but I picked this up at a garage sale and thought I'd give it a read. The book covers topics such as starting seeds indoors, direct sowing outdoors, and common seedling problems; the second half of the book offers species-specific tips, such as spacing, when to sow, and soil requirements. Overall, the information is pretty basic, and I'll definitely be looking for a more comprehensive book that focuses more on organic vegetable, rather than ornamental gardening, when I'm ready to start planting."
