"Some dubious assumptions, conclusions and faulty syllogisms align in this tract. It reminds me of people who place value on quantity over quality in words and deeds. The writing is sometimes more refined than the fiction works by Rand; but to what end if the ends sought are confounded by the path taken."
"If "Anthem" could be construed as "Objectivism 101", "For the New Intellectual" could be construed as the sophomore and junior level course. The summary dramatized in "Anthem" is opened up and detailed further in this book. It's not for the faint-hearted or those who've never read philosophy. Rand goes hardcore here and you'll need a thorough grounding in the terminology and general concepts of philosophical thought to make sense of her innumerable compound-complex sentences. It's a great book nonetheless and one which further informed and even fine-tuned my thinking today."
