Five Early Works

About this title: These five works translated by Roy Arthur Lagerkvist (1891-1974), introduced a new spirit of modernism into Swedish poetry, prose, and drama. In this work Swanson translates many of Lagerkvist's short stories, a play, prose sketches, and essays.The text contains short stories from "Iron and Men"; the play "The Last Man"; prose sketches "The Expectant Guest" and "The Morning"; and essays from "The Clenched Fist".
