"I found this book to be very useful. It not only gives a general overview of the pattern industry, it teaches you how to work with existing patterns so they fit you. The book also illustrates how to alter or adjust any pattern you could run into. There are also sections on specific body types, and how to work with patterns for that.
Overall, I really liked it. I have borrowed it from a friend, but will probably add it to my library simply because it is so useful.
The authors do speak with a pro industry bias, as they have worked with the pattern companies for a very long time. This can be good, and can be grating, depending on your perceptions. I didn't mind it too terribly much, and it's the only thing that I remotely found was a bit much.
