About this title: British L.A.-based journalist Willy Muller is a widower. His wife died in an accident in 1971, and he is widely believed to be her murderer--an accusation his two daughters have always had trouble coming to terms with. Now grown up, one of them has committed suicide, leaving a painful diary behind, and the other is heavily into drugs. Meanwhile, Willy has his own troubles that include a heart attack and the sleazy screenplay he's involved with. In the end, he returns to England to try to sort things out and start over.
