"I LOVE THIS BOOK! it was lovingly written and has beautiful illustrations. It's about a little boy who loses his stuffed dog, the sorrow he feels, and how much it affects his family. It was a favorite with my children years ago, when an earlier printing was titled "David and Dog". This is a hard to find book, (I looked for it for a long time) and a real keeper. Now I read it to my grandchildren, and they love it too."
"Oh my! This book is easily a picture book favorite for me. I have a special place in my heart for all the softie stuffed toys that my kids have loved to pieces. This book is about a little dog loved by a little boy. So sweet! But what makes it extra special is the almost tragedy at the end of the story and his loving sister's rescue of "Dogger." Cute, cute book with sweet illustrations."
